These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Eatensity website and mobile application (the "Service") operated by Eatensity ("we", "us", or "our"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Use of the Service

Eatensity provides nutritional information and food tracking tools for informational purposes only. The Service is not a substitute for professional medical or dietary advice. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before making changes to your diet.

2. Accounts

You may create an account using your email address or Google sign-in. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must not share your account or use another person's account without permission.

3. Nutritional Data Accuracy

We strive to provide accurate nutritional data sourced from IFCT 2017, USDA FoodData Central, and community contributions. However, we make no warranty of absolute accuracy. Nutrient values may vary based on preparation methods, brands, and portion sizes. Use the data as a general guide, not a precise measurement.

4. User Content & Community Contributions

If you submit food data through community contribution features, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and incorporate that data into the Service. You must not submit false, misleading, or harmful content.

5. Prohibited Use

• Using the Service for any unlawful purpose.
• Attempting to interfere with, disrupt, or overload the Service (including automated scraping or abuse of API endpoints).
• Impersonating another person or entity.
• Reverse-engineering or attempting to extract source code from the mobile application.

6. Intellectual Property

The Eatensity name, logo, design, and original content are owned by us. The underlying nutritional data is sourced from public databases and attributed accordingly. You may not reproduce or redistribute bulk nutritional data extracted from the Service.

7. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service (if any) in the 12 months prior to the claim.

8. Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time from the Profile screen or by contacting us. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
